Which catnip actually works? We went on a quest to find an effective catnip product.
#1: SmartyKat Catnip Spray (Catnip Mist)
$1.00 at WalMart.
GRADE: C-
Panthro leaped away when the Catnip Mist was sprayed on his favorite toy. Something about the mist and scent bothered him... Then he sniffed the toy and simply watched when it was thrown across the room. Bottom line: He was interested, but not enough to chase or get excited about this product.
#2: Gimb Cat Grass Plus Tub 21oz
$4.71 at Pets Warehouse.
GRADE: C+
He nibbled at the blades a few times that we saw. If introduced to a kitten, maybe the grass would have been more attractive, and-or attracting. And, given a lot of time, the cat might have grown to like this stuff. However, if you like a very neatnik living/cat space, this will disturb your sensibilities. Anyway, Panthro generally ignored the Cat Grass. Bottom line: Smells intriguing, looks weird and curious, but just meal decoration in the end. Kind of like cat parsley.
